HULU advertising and mail advertising products are both growing fast, but Hulu is seeking partners that are more effective and cost effective, according to an ad expert.
Hulu’s advertising sales are estimated to be around $5 billion this year, according the ad expert who asked not to be named, citing confidentiality rules.
The ad giant is also looking for advertisers who have the ability to drive meaningful clicks and engage with users.
“They’re looking for people who can create and deliver compelling content,” said the expert, who asked to remain anonymous.
The Hulu ad experts say Hulu is exploring new ad products, such as sponsored videos, that are not only more effective at driving sales but are cheaper and can be tailored to individual audiences.HULU ad sales have doubled in the past two years, from $2.2 billion in 2013 to $3.4 billion in 2016.
The ad experts predict the company will have about $7 billion in ad sales this year.
Hudson Capital, which invests in media, tech and media companies, said in a statement that Hulu is “an incredibly valuable source of growth for Hulu, its content partners and our advertisers.”
Hulu has been working to develop its advertising business, and it has been exploring ways to increase revenue through partnerships with media companies.
The Hulu ad partners are in the middle of the effort, the experts said.
Hulu ad sales are growing faster than other major ad platforms, with ad revenue up nearly 30 percent from 2015 to 2016.
